Creating Submenu Items

A submenu item is a navigation link that appears under a parent navigation link.

Sub menu items are used to reduce top level navigation clutter, support menu hierarchy, group related items together, and provide site visitors a mental map.

To create a clickable submenu item follow these steps.

  1. Open the page editor.
  2. Select the Pages icon on the Sidebar.
  3. Use the handle to drag the submenu item under and to the right of the parent menu item.

Non-clickable submenu items are used with larger menus that require clear category names.

To make a non-clickable submenu item follow these steps.

  1. Open the page editor.
  2. Select the Pages icon on the Sidebar.
  3. Click the Add Page drop down arrow in the top right.
  4. Select Add Submenu Title.
  5. Enter a Submenu Title.
  6. Use the handles to the left of the Page to drag it under the Submenu Title.
