Locking and Unlocking Elements

Dragging an element over another attaches the element to the other so they can be moved together and automatically grouped together within our mobile editor. However, there may be times when you want to ensure an element's positioning is independent of other elements in the layer by locking the element in place. To lock and unlock elements, follow these steps.

Step 1. Select the element you wish to lock in place, then click the opened padlock icon ('Lock') within the attached toolbar.

Note: You can lock an element within the desktop editor only, the mobile editor only, or both. For example, if an element is locked on desktop and you wish to unlock it on mobile, simply select the element within the mobile editor then click the closed padlock icon ('Unlock') to unlock its positioning on mobile only.

Step 2. To unlock an element, select the element then click the closed padlock icon ('Unlock') within the attached toolbar.
