How To Install Google Tag Manager
To install Google Tag Manager on your WebStarts site, follow these steps:
Step 1. Go to tagmanager.google.com and click Create Account (for additional setup instructions, see the Google Tag Manager Setup and Install Guide.
Step 2. Upon creating the account, Google will immediately prompt you to install two snippets of code on your site. Here are the steps to install each snippet:
Snippet 1 - Google states "Paste this code as high in the <head> of the page as possible." Copy the snippet and paste it within the WebStarts Editor by clicking Edit > Edit HTML > View Site Head, paste the code on line 1, then click Insert, then click File > Save & Publish. Note: you only need to paste this snippet once for the entire site.
Snippet 2 - Google states "Additionally, paste this code immediately after the opening <body> tag." Copy the snippet and paste it within the WebStarts Editor by clicking Edit > Edit HTML > Paste Code, paste the code on line 1, then click Insert, then click File > Save & Publish. Note: you will need to toggle to each page one at a time and repeat these steps to insert the same snippet on every page.
