Creating Categories For Your Blog Posts In WebStarts

Creating Categories

  1. From your WebStarts account dashboard, click the Blog app panel to open up and manage your Blog.
  2. Click to edit an existing Blog Post or Create a New Blog Post.
  3. In the right side of the Blog Post Editor, click the + Add New Category link to create a new category to be used in your Blog.
  4. Enter the name of your new category in the field provided and then press the Enter key. 
  5. To select additional categories for this post, check all that apply and then save.

Viewing Categories

You'll need to turn on the Show Categories option for your blog before these will be made available on your site.

  1. From your account dashboard, click the Edit Site button to edit your website
  2. Navigate to the Blog page using the page drop down in the upper left corner of the website editor.
  3. Click to select the blog and then click the Settings Cog icon to edit the Blog settings.
  4. Check the Show Categories option and then save the page.
View your live Blog page and you should now see all of the Categories created for your blog listed in the left hand side of your blog.
