Adding A Music Or Voice Recording To Your Website With SoundCloud

Have you ever wanted to put samples of your music on your website? How about a whole song? In this article I’m going to walk you through you can use a new service called SoundCloud to do just that. Not only can you upload music to your website but you can also make a voice recording and put that directly on your website as well. So without further delay here are the instructions…

Step 1: Go to SoundCloud.com and sign up for an account. If you already have an account be sure to login.

Step 2: Choose to upload any MP3 or other popular music format from your local computer to SoundCloud. If you want to make a voice recording at this point you’ll want to click the “Record” button.

Step 3: Choose the to edit the title and description of your file. Please note you must have widget enabled to add the widget to your WebStarts website. Once you’re done with this step click “Save”.

Step 4: You will now see the SoundCloud player. Click on the share option in the top left and copy the embed code to your clipboard.

Step 5: Login to your WebStarts account and choose which page you’d like to add the player. Click on the “Insert HTML” icon on the toolbar. Paste the code in the area provided and click “Ok”.

That’s it – once you’ve saved your page you’ll see the SoundCloud audo player on your web page. If you don’t already have a website don’t forget to sign up and make a  free web site at WebStarts.com
