Watermarking Your Websites
What is a watermark?
Watermarks are images and text you can place over your web design to prevent your client from having access to your final product prior to paying you.
As a WebStarts agency you can both manually or automatically enable and disable watermarks to protect your web designs. This helps you better control your workflow and ensure you get paid for your work.
To watermark a website you've created click the Watermark option from the Site Actions drop down menu. You can find that drop down menu by hovering over the thumbnail of a website in both the all sites and dashboard views.
1. From the all sites or dashboard view hover over the thumbnail of the website you want to watermark and click and select the Watermark tab from the Site Actions drop down menu.
2. Select to enable a watermark for your website by moving the switch to the on position.
3. Customize your watermark by uploading your logo or another image, or select the text tab to create a watermark using text.
4. Further customize your watermark by adjusting the opacity, size, or rotating either your text or image.
5. Click update and the watermark is displayed as a tile over the content of your website. This allows your clients to review the design without having full privilege to utilize it.
