Using Heatmaps To Show Where Visitors Are Clicking On Your Site

Using the Heatmaps feature, WebStarts Analytics allows you to see where your site visitors click when on your site. Check out the video and steps below to see how to set that up now...

Setting up Heatmaps

1. From your account dashboard, click the Analytics panel.
2. Click the Preferences tab, followed by Preferences again to view your site details.
3. In the Site Alignment drop down, choose the alignment of your site.
   1. Note: All sites built with WebStarts are Centered by default.
4. Choose 1024 for the width of your site under the Site width drop down
5. Click the Submit button to save the changes. 

This will set up your site to begin recording activity on the pages of your website. Keep in mind that this data will need to accrue over time and may not be immediately available.

Reviewing Heatmap Data On Your Site

1. From your account dashboard, click the Analytics panel.
2. Choose the time frame which you would like to review the data using the Date Range drop down located in the upper right corner.
3. Click the Content tab, followed by the Heatmap icon next to the page you want to review.
